Will soon be out of India!

We will soon be out of India!

Day 21 & 22: Kohima, Nagaland, India

Reaching the Hotel Vivor was such a relief! We were soooooo tired. There were long winding, narrow roads while we were ascending the Japfu mountain range. To add to the very serpentine roads, there were repairs being done. So, actually, I don’t think I can call them roads, it was just like dust up the mountains!

No road… only dust!

Narrow winding roads

Trust me, these ‘roads’ were much worse than the Darjeeling roads.

On our second day in Kohima, we went to see this ‘wicked’ fort in Khonoma (about an hour away from Kohima). It was one of the places where  a World War II  battle (Battle of Kohima) took place. The Japanese and British fought here. The Indians had an agreement with the Japanese and they helped them to conquer over the British at this fort.

It was boiling hot, which really didn’t help. So, very soon, we ended up returning to the room with a brow of sweat across our faces.

Day 23 & 24: Imphal, Manipur, India

Most of you have thought that the journey had begun 24 days ago. Well, it has, but the REAL journey hasn’t even started. On our way from Kohima to Imphal, we met the others in our pack. I will explain a bit more: So, Nana, Tai and myself started from Mumbai by ourselves. We were on our own until Kohima and now, from Imphal onwards, we are in a group with 12 other cars. In total, we are 28 people travelling in 13 cars!

The convoy of 13 cars taking part in RoadtoLondon!

On the second day in Imphal (and our last day in India), we had a tedious, tiresome briefing about the journey and guess what, more MEDIA!!! :'(

Keeping it short and sweet this time!

So tune in for my next blog about the REAL trip!
